Mary Vaughan Sarrazin, PhD
Dr. Vaughan-Sarrazin is an Investigator at the Center for Access & Delivery Research and Evaluation (CADRE) at the Iowa City VA and Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. Dr. Vaughan-Sarrazin currently directs the Data Analysis and Statistics cluster for the Program in Population Health in the University of Iowa College of Medicine and serves as faculty advisor for the Data Analysis and Biostatistics Cores for CADRE and the VA Midwest Rural Health Resource Center.
Currently, she is working to develop and validate algorithms for quantifying and monitoring cardiovascular events in real world data for patients who receive cancer therapy in VA facilities. She is also co-principal investigator for an HSR&D-funded study to evaluate the impact of social determinants of health on VA surgical outcomes and hospital performance metrics.
