Michihiko Goto, MD
Dr. Goto is an Investigator with CADRE at the Iowa city VA, a network hospital epidemiologist for VA Midwest Health care Network (VISN 23) as well as an Associate Professor Infectious Diseases at The University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. Dr. Goto is the director/principal investigator of VHA Patient Safety Center for Inquiry (PSCI), Center for Antimicrobial Stewardship and Prevention of Antimicrobial Resistance (CASPAR) at Iowa City VA Medical Center.
His research interests include epidemiology of healthcare-associated infections and multidrug-resistant organisms, identification of effective interventions for infectious diseases prevention and outcome improvement, and effects of healthcare policies on hospital epidemiology practice.
